Health First Screenings is a local, mobile preventive health screening company that travels the state of Arizona and we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Sonographer to join our team. We are looking for a leader who will be responsible for performing a high volume of vascular and abdominal ultrasound examinations on patients, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient care. The Sonographer will work closely with patients and the rest of our team to provide an excellent screening experience while accurately capturing necessary images for non-diagnostic purposes.
This job is seasonal and operates only in May-October. Full time job and pay for just part of the year. Must be available to travel Monday-Thursday. Food and lodging will be provided while on the road.
Duties
- Perform ultrasound examinations on patients, including but not limited to abdominal, carotid and AAA.
- Utilize appropriate sonographic techniques to obtain high-quality images that can be interpreted by physicians.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process by effectively communicating procedures and addressing any concerns.
- Document all findings accurately.
- Help set up and tear down for each screening.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Sonography program or equivalent training.
- Certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) or equivalent preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and principles of diagnostic radiology.
- Experience in patient care with excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a our team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Able to lift 30 pounds during the set up and tear down of the screening.
- Must be a team player and enjoy people.
- Willing and excited to travel Monday-Thursday.

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
