Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Ultrasound Technologist to join our high-volume endocrinology office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound exams on patients, with a focus on endocrinology-related procedures, including thyroid, parathyroid, and lymph node mapping, This is a part-time position requiring travel between our Scottsdale and Chandler locations, so reliable transportation is necessary. MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL TO SCOTTSDALE AND CHANDLER.
As part of a dynamic team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services to help manage and monitor endocrine disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams (primarily for thyroid, parathyroid, and lymph node mapping to include assisting with fine needle aspirations and radio frequency ablations) with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures, explaining the process, ensuring patient comfort, and obtaining accurate images.
- Provide high-quality images to assist endocrinologists in diagnosing and managing conditions such as thyroid disorders, parathyroid abnormalities, and other related endocrine diseases.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records, adhering to HIPAA privacy regulations.
- Work with physicians and other healthcare team members to discuss findings and ensure coordinated patient care.
- Ensure that all ultrasound equipment is maintained, calibrated, and functioning properly, reporting any issues to management.
- Travel between the Scottsdale and Chandler office locations as needed, ensuring timely and professional service at both sites.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing their questions and concerns in a compassionate manner.
- Assist with scheduling and managing patient flow in a fast-paced, high-volume office.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Registered Ultrasound Technologist (ARDMS or equivalent), with specialization in Endocrinology or relevant experience in thyroid and parathyroid imaging preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams, especially in an endocrinology setting, is preferred but not required.
- Licensing: Current state licensure and certification in diagnostic medical sonography required (ARDMS, R.DMS, or equivalent).
- Other: Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between our Scottsdale and Chandler locations is essential.
- Skills: Proficient in operating ultrasound equipment, including advanced imaging techniques; familiarity with endocrine conditions, particularly thyroid, parathyroid imaging, and lymph node mapping.
