- DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
- The Echo Tech performs transthoracic echocardiography, stress test echocardiography, Transesophageal echocardiography and other non-invasive cardio-diagnostic procedures including 12 lead ECG, holter hook up, event monitor hook up, stress testing and other duties as assigned.
- QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional/Educational
- Associates Degree preferred in Cardiac Sonography from a CAAHEP. Accredited school.
- Credentialed as a member of the Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) granted by the registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) granted by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Previous Echo Sonographer experience required.
- DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
- Personal
- Evidence of good health, grooming and professional conduct.
- Desire and ability to cooperate with or under the direction of others.
- Possess a sense of responsibility, initiative and honesty.
- Ability to follow directions accurately.
- Excellent Communication Skills.
