Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations, ensuring patient comfort, and providing accurate diagnostic information to physicians. This role requires a strong understanding of sonography principles, anatomy, and physiology, as well as excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and medical staff.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Utilize sonography equipment to capture high-resolution images for interpretation by physicians.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology to accurately assess patient conditions.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to discuss findings and contribute to patient care planning.
- Keep accurate records of examinations performed, including patient history and technical data.
- Stay updated on advancements in ultrasound technology and best practices in diagnostic radiology.
Requirements
- ARDMS/ARRT (Required)
- Proficiency in diagnostic radiology techniques, including Ob/Gyn ultrasound.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to anatomy and physiology.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory.
