Job Title: ECHO Sonographer Traveler
Pay Rate: $82/hr
Location: Houston, TX 77030
Schedule: Days; We have 3 different shifts that can vary from day to day. 7:00-15:30, 7:30-16:00, 8:30-17:00
Contract Start Date: 1/20/2025 End Date: 4/19/2025 with possible extension
The candidate needs to have prior experience in a pediatric hospital setting.
Prefer a sonographer registered in pediatric echo.
Duties:
To perform independent echocardiographic exams on patients who range in age from neonates to adults.
- Performs high quality normal and complex echocardiographic exams enabling the cardiology staff to make accurate
diagnoses of various congenital and acquired pediatric heart abnormalities.
- Functions independently when performing echo exams, including the ability to cohesively discuss and express opinion
about possible diagnosis with staff.
- Operates any type of ultrasound equipment and collects data independently, differentiating quality of the data for further
quantification.
Skills:
- Knowledge of echocardiographic procedures.
- Ability to learn ultrasound equipment with specialized Cardiology software and operate at a basic level the following
equipment: blood pressure monitor and pulse oximeter, and desktop computer.
Education:
Required Technical diploma School of ultrasound Or Bachelor's Degree
Required- RDCS - Cert-Reg Diag. Cardiac Sono American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Or
RCS - Cert-Registered Cardiac SONO Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Or
RCCS - Cert-Reg Congenital Cardi Sono Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Or
CRCS - Cert-Canada Reg Cardiac Sonogr Sonography Canada
Required- 1 year experience as an echosonographer in a pediatric environment
Required BLS-CPR Cert
