Job Summary:
The vascular ultrasound technologist performs non-invasive vascular testing and clinical evaluations. The technologist has a high level of accuracy, quality, and efficiency requiring limited supervision. The technologist maintains a high standard of medical ethics and is self motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of vascular technology.
Employee Status:
Full-Time ( Office is open Monday – Friday 8am-5:00pm, no call or weekends required)
Duties:
Prepares patients for examination and explains procedures to patients .Assesses the patient and correlates the clinical history with the prospective test. When necessary, consults Lead Technologist(s), Office Manager, Technical Director, or referring physician to determine appropriate vascular lab procedure. When necessary, consults with referring physician and/or patient chart regarding clinical history. Correctly operate complex non-invasive vascular testing equipment and computers. Participate in quality assurance meetings. Schedule exams and maintain patient surveillance logs. File and upload finalized reports in a timely manner. The following procedures will be performed:
- Arterial duplex graft/imaging
- Segmental pressures and CW waveforms
- Venous duplex
- Abdominal duplex
- Aorto-iliac evaluation
- Hemodialysis graft/fistula imaging
- Graft compression
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Two year allied health degree from an accredited Sonography program. RVT or RVS credential preferred. New graduates will be considered. Experience and technical skill will also be considered for salary.

Pay: $68,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
