Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team of medical professionals. The Ultrasound Technologist will be responsible for operating ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy and pathology, as well as excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare providers.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform ultrasound examinations in accordance with department protocols
- Prepare patients for procedures and explain the process to alleviate any concerns
- Position patients to ensure optimal imaging results
- Operate ultrasound equipment to capture images of internal organs and tissues
- Analyze images to ensure quality and accuracy
- Maintain equipment and ensure proper calibration
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare providers to interpret results and provide accurate diagnoses
- Uphold patient confidentiality and privacy at all times
- Stay current on new technologies and advancements in the field of ultrasound imaging
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
- ARDMS certification or eligibility to obtain certification
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and accuracy in image capture and analysis
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred
