Registered Vascular Technologist RVT– Vascular Surgery
General Summary of Duties: Position will entail performing arterial and venous vascular ultrasound studies in an IAC accredited vascular ultrasound lab. Ultrasound lab is located in an outpatient vascular surgery office with an on-site interventional suite and procedural suite. Will also include responsibilities for other administrative responsibilities on a graduated basis.
Responsibilities:
- Perform non-invasive vascular ultrasound examinations, including Doppler studies and duplex imaging.
- Collaborate with surgeons to interpret test results and assist in developing patient care plans.
· Use of mainstream electronic medical record
· Use of PACS with Structured Reporting software
· General ultrasound maintenance duties
Education: Must possess ultrasound training from a recognized program with current ultrasound certification. Possession of RVT/RVS certification preferred or must pass vascular registry exam within 15 months of hire.
Experience: Experience performing vascular ultrasound studies required. Additional training can be provided.
Knowledge: The candidate must demonstrate current competencies applicable to the job position.

Physical/Mental Demands: Varied activities including standing, walking, reaching, bending and lifting. Requires full range of body motion including handling and positioning patients. Must be able to use a variety of office equipment.
Environmental/Working Conditions: Modern, full service, vascular surgery office. Collegiate environment with additional support from team members immediately available when needed. Work very closely with vascular surgeons to determine the best treatment course for complex patients.
