Overview
Office-based independent private Pediatric Cardiology Practice in Marlton, NJ is seeking an experienced pediatric sonographer for work on a per-diem basis. The ideal candidate will be available on a regular basis 2-3 full weekdays each week. Hours from 9a-5p, no evenings or weekends.
Duties
- Responsible for performing transthoracic echocardiograms on infants, children, and adolescents.
- Technicians will write a thorough preliminary report on all findings and should be able to perform correct measurements where indicated.
- Must be able to image simple congenital heart disease without assistance using the ICAEL approved protocol.
- Must be able to image complex congenital heart disease with assistance from an attending pediatric cardiologist using the ICAEL lab protocol.
- Should have familiarity with cardiac morphology and various types of surgical and cardiac catheterization procedures that are commonly performed in pediatric cardiology.
Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in sonography or related fields is preferred.
- Ability to work well with children and put them at ease
- Must demonstrate excellent communication skills with peers, patients, and families.
Credentials
- Graduate of accredited cardiovascular program.
- ARMDS or RCS certified or eligible.
