This position will entail:
- Primarily a work schedule of: Monday - Friday (8a - 4:30p CST)
- Rotating call on Weekends and Holidays
Job Description:
The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing imaging procedures under the direction of a physician using imaging modalities at a technical level not requiring constant supervision; performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative; assumes responsibilities for designated areas or procedures as required; performing patient services using imaging modalities, applying principles of imaging for technical quality, exercising professional judgment in the performance of procedures, providing patient care.
Education:
- Associates degree or Certificate in Ultrasonography or Radiography
Licensure & Certification:
- American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Sonography R.T.(S)(ARRT) or registry eligible with successful completion of the registry within six months of employment required
- ARDMS (RDMS), post-primary sonography certification may include but not limited to Abdomen, Breast, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatric Sonography preferred
- ARDMS - RVT, ARRT - RT(VS), or CCI - RVS required within six months of employment if performing peripheral vascular procedures required
- Licensed by the State of Indiana as Radiologic Technologist required if holding R.T. (R)(ARRT) and performing radiography. May work under Radiology Student Permit for the first 6 months post-graduation
- BLS required.
