Overview
The Lead Sonographer plays a crucial role in our diagnostic imaging team, overseeing and performing ultrasound examinations to produce high-quality diagnostic images. This position is essential for providing accurate and timely patient care, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of sonographers, providing guidance and support
- Perform ultrasound examinations and analyses as needed
- Ensure appropriate and safe operation of ultrasound equipment
- Develop and implement quality assurance processes
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
- Oversee scheduling and workflow management
- Conduct training and education for staff
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Participate in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in sonography or related field
- ARDMS certification or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in diagnostic medical sonography
- Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role
- Expertise in ultrasound technology and equipment
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and safety
- Proficiency in relevant software and electronic medical record systems
Candidates hired in a full-time position, from a distance that is greater than 50 miles from their previous role and home, are eligible for relocation assistance up to $9,200.

$15,000 subject to tax and signed agreement paid in three equal increments at hire, six months, and one year.
