Job Summary And Qualifications
- Oversees all clinical functions of the department and provide high quality Imaging services.
- Delegate Clinical functions of each shift to corresponding supervisor and/or lead and ensure the imaging services are delivered at its best to the customers.
- Assist the Director of Radiology to Develop/implement policies/procedures that guide/support the provision of services.
- Determine the qualifications/competencies of personnel
- Continuously assess/improve departments performance
- Maintain/implement quality control programs
- Provide for the orientation, in-service training and continuing education of staff.
- Support the marketing functions of the department/Hospital
- Serve as a role model for attendance and being on time, ready to work your scheduled hours.
- Assist the Director of Radiology in special projects and other assignments.
- Establish and maintain constructive working relationship with other departments within the hospital.
- Resolve inter departmental issues in a timely manner.
- Conduct and coordinate supervisory and departmental meetings monthly.
- Effectively communicate with Radiologists to maintain a productive working relationship.
- Assume the responsibility of the director in his/her absence.
- Actively participate in resolving customer issues in a timely manner.
- Investigate and respond to occurrence reports in a timely manner.
- Delivers Customer focused care utilizing the seven Excellence Always Standards to include the transport of patients as necessary to facilitate optimal patient care/flow.
Education
What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelors Degree and/or experience equivalent Licensure/certification/registration:
- ARRT, TMB (Certified MRT), or NMTCB/TMB, or ARDMS
Experience
- 2 years of Radiology management experience from a large hospital or a large number of FTEs
- Five years Radiologic technology experience (minimum 8 years experience total)
- Multi-modality experience preferred.
