This role involves performing cardiac diagnostic tests, including echocardiograms (transthoracic, transesophageal, stress, and pharmacological), IV contrast, EKG, Holter monitoring, and stress tests.
- Providing age-appropriate care to patients of all ages, including neonatal and pediatric populations.
- Utilizing diagnostic equipment effectively and ensuring accurate data collection and analysis.
- Maintaining infection control practices and equipment disinfection protocols.
- Serving as a resource and preceptor for students and staff within the hospital setting.
- Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and certification as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer or RDCS through ARDMS, with experience in echocardiography.
- Preference for candidates with extensive hospital-based experience, especially in pediatric and neonatal echocardiography.
