We are seeking a qualified, experienced, and dedicated Imaging Manager to join our Cardiology team that will provide oversight of all imaging-related services, including Sonography, Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine technology, ensuring the highest quality patient care and operational efficiency. The manager will lead a multidisciplinary team, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, optimizing workflows, and managing both the clinical and financial aspects of imaging operations. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a focus on patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Staff Management:
- Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of radiologic technologists, sonographers, nuclear medicine technologists, stress test technicians, nurses, and administrative staff across multiple imaging services.
- Manage the recruitment, training, and development of staff, ensuring high standards of care and technical proficiency in all areas of imaging.
- Conduct performance evaluations, manage schedules, and provide professional development opportunities for staff across Radiology, Sonography, Nuclear Medicine, and Stress Testing.
- Foster a collaborative team environment to ensure seamless communication and workflow across multiple modalities.
- Operational & Quality Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of Sonography, Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Stress Testing services, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow and timely imaging services.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for each imaging modality to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Monitor equipment maintenance and service schedules to ensure that imaging equipment is in optimal working condition across all modalities.
- Perform regular quality assurance activities, such as calibration, testing, and validation of imaging equipment, to maintain high standards of patient safety and diagnostic accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including those set by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC).
- Patient Care & Communication:
- Ensure that patients receive high-quality imaging services in a comfortable, safe, and efficient manner.
- Oversee patient preparation and care protocols for all imaging modalities, including Sonography, Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Stress Testing.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to ensure that imaging services support accurate diagnosis and patient care planning.
- Address patient concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner, ensuring a positive experience for patients.
- Financial & Budget Management:
- Oversee the budget for the Imaging Department, including resource allocation for equipment, staffing, and supplies across all imaging services.
- Ensure accurate and efficient billing for all imaging services, including proper coding and reimbursement processes for Sonography, Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Stress Testing procedures.
- Identify opportunities for cost control and process improvement while maintaining high standards of care and patient satisfaction.
- Analyze departmental financial performance and provide recommendations to senior management to improve revenue cycle performance.
- Strategic Planning & Continuous Improvement:
- Develop and implement long-term strategies to enhance service delivery, increase departmental efficiency, and improve patient satisfaction across all imaging modalities.
- Stay current with the latest advances in imaging technology, trends, and best practices, and lead initiatives to integrate new technologies and techniques.
- Participate in organizational-wide initiatives to improve patient care, reduce operational costs, and ensure the continued success of the Imaging Department.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the department and initiate quality improvement projects when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in radiologic technology, Nuclear Medicine Technology, or Diagnostic Sonography preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in diagnostic imaging, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- In-depth experience in managing Sonography, Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Stress Testing services.
- Proven track record of successful departmental management, including staff oversight, budgeting, and operational optimization.
- Certifications/Licenses:
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification or Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology (CNMT) or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) is required.
- State-specific licensure (if applicable).

- Proficiency with Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACs), structured reporting, and electronic health records (EHR).
