Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vascular Sonographer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of vascular ultrasound procedures, contributing to accurate diagnosis and treatment plans. This role involves collaboration with our vein center and vascular team to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate sonographic equipment proficiently to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Assess and address patient care concerns, making informed decisions to resolve issues effectively.
- Evaluate sonograms to gather essential diagnostic information.
- Integrate diagnostic sonograms with laboratory results, patient history, and medical records, adapting examinations as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of patients and completed examinations.
- Ensure ultrasound equipment and work areas are clean, functional, and well-stocked.
- Participate in maintaining laboratory accreditation standards.
- Use independent judgment to acquire optimal diagnostic information for each examination.
- Communicate diagnostic information effectively to physicians.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues.
- Adhere to established departmental procedures and protocols.
- Work efficiently under pressure and handle emergency situations calmly.
- Uphold patient safety and confidentiality at all times.
- Report equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Travel between facilities may be required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Schedule: Monday – Friday at one work location; no travel required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in vascular sonography (preferred).
- Certification with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) (preferred).
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Sonographer credentials (preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
