Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Ultrasonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, as well as the ability to provide excellent patient care. The Ultrasonographer will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate imaging and effective communication of results.
Requirements -
*2 years clinical experience as a sonographer, and proficient at all general studies. Experience in some vascular preferred.
*RDMS Certification or ARRT registration with cross trained ultrasound
*Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or Accredited Radiologic Tech Program.
Duties
- Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations, including but not limited to Ob/Gyn and diagnostic radiology procedures.
- Utilize appropriate sonographic techniques and equipment to obtain clear images for interpretation.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures, demonstrating compassion and professionalism.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology to accurately assess images and identify any abnormalities.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding the procedures, answering questions and addressing concerns.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols throughout all procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians to discuss findings and assist in developing patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate records of examinations performed, including patient information and imaging results.
Requirements
- Certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent qualification.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology principles.
- Experience in performing ultrasound examinations, particularly in Ob/Gyn settings is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating within a team environment.
