Position Description
The travel Ultrasound Technician is a graduate of an accredited AMA school and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT), maintains a State License as a general radiographer, and/or is a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS). The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for providing timely diagnostic services to both inpatient and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: abdominal, pelvic, (gynecological & obstetrical), and transvaginal sonograms. Additionally is proficient at scanning small parts (thyroid, breast & scrotom) along with ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis and aspirations.
Pay Rate = $9,000 - $9,440/Month
Shift: 4x10's Tue - Fri 7am -5:30pm
Credentials required: RDMS or ARRT
Specific unit requirements: BLS, Registered, and NM License
On-Call required: yes Includes calls after hours and weekends.
