The Cancer Center of Kansas (CCK) is seeking a
full -tim e, on-site Imaging/Radiology Manager to join our team in our
Wichita , KS offices. T he t ypical work week is
Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5 :00 PM with no major holidays, and no weekends.

What does this position entail?
Develops, plans, and helps direct the diagnostic imaging activities for the practice in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations through direct collaboration with the Director or Operations . A d vises the DOO and leadership members on any clinical and technical needs regarding i maging services , issues and policies. Maintains ove rall re sponsibility for the imaging operations and activities of the practice except those activities actively involving the practice of medicine. E nsures support of and adherence to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Responsibilities
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position are:
- Oversees the performance of the diagnostic imaging personnel and technology and develops plans for improvement, as needed.
- Ensures compliance and adherence to the organization's structure, management philosophy, and mission statements .
- Directs the practice and leadership of ongoing compliance of the selected accreditation program .
- Implements the practice's short- and long-range plans, budgets, and initiatives for the imag ing department.
- Supports and ensures the rapid introduction of new imaging oncology services , technologies or procedural changes throughout the practice.
- Monitors, analyzes, assesses, and communicates the growth of imaging services.
- Considers present and planned capacity needs .
- In financial terms, considers manpower and organization needs, including facilities and technology.
- Implement and monitor administrative and clinical information technology and related processes to support imaging oncology activities.
- Ensures implementation of processes and controls to ensure communication and information flow between sites of service or departments, external partners and within the practice.
- Works cooperatively with managers and members of leadership to ensure teamwork and cooperation between imaging personnel and operations.
- Ensures timely and cost-effective ordering of all supplies.
- Ensures the implementation of standard of care imaging practice procedures throughout the practice.
- Participates in the interviewing and recruiting of imaging and support personnel , as directed.
- Assists in the hiring and training of imaging and support personnel .
- Reviews and ensures all applicable imaging personnel maintain appropriate licensure or certification to perform required duties.
- Oversees the completion of performance evaluations for all imaging personnel , in collaboration with the DOO.
- Develops specific performance expectations and departmental o bjectives to ensure growth and productivity.
- Educates and directs the correct use of and timely submission of EMR documentation which includes procedure charge codes .
- Directly or indirectly supervises the activities of all imaging activities and staff.
- Assists in and leads, as directed by DOO, imaging department meetings.
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies.
- Ensures adequate staffing/FTEs for the imaging department ; and d emonstrates working knowledge of applicable labor laws and schedules and coordinates employee staffing including vacations, sick leave and overtime in collaboration with HR.
- Performs tasks assigned to imaging personnel, as necessary.
- Conducts administrative duties as necessary for managing the department.
- Attends all required, applicable meetings.
- Remains current on all compliance requirements.
- Ensures all applicable policies and procedures of the practice and Network are followed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):
- Edu cation/Training /Experience :
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
- Current Kansas State License.
- Minimum of five years radiation or radiology experience including at least two years of managerial and/or administrative experience .
- ARRT certification required ; BSRT and valid state licensure for radiation therapy preferred.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology on images in all modalities used by the practice.

- Must maintain a good working relationship with all members of leadership and employees throughout the practice.
- Must display an attitude that creates a positive impression with leadership, physicians, staff, patients and external partners and vendors.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
- Oversee personnel of the Diagnostic Imaging Services department.
